Faith Based Investors in aid of Imizamo Yethu Victims

Our clients with BarakaGold Facilities donate any interest earned on their bank balances to Gift of the Givers.

As you may know, the informal settlement in Hout Bay known as Imizamo Yethu, has recently experienced a devastating fire that took the lives of two people and the homes of more than twelve thousand poor people.

Gift of the Givers was quick to respond to the tragedy with their wonderful disaster response team and has been extremely busy with relief efforts ever since.

We have arranged a transfer of clients’ interest to Gift of the Givers, and especially earmarked it for funding of this Hout Bay relief effort. We furthermore matched our clients aggregate sum of money with a matching sum from SA Bullion.

In a message from Gift of the Givers they included this sentence that we felt ought to be passed on to all BarakaGold Facility clients:

“It is the generosity of people like you that bring hope and opportunity to people in dire distress”

BarakaGold Facility clients should note that even though they are not permitted to benefit from interest income, it is their investment which made the donation possible.
