The official coin of the 2024 Cape Town Coin Faire is this gorgeous medallion made of pure silver. Straight from the mint, it comes safely packed in a protective slab and bears the exclusive Cape Town Coin Faire Privy mark.

Design

Obverse (Front) Design:

• A finely detailed portrait of a woman in profile, wearing a traditional African headscarf.
• The shape of the African continent is subtly integrated into the design.
• Inscription along the rim states the coin’s specifications: “1 OZ .9999 FINE SILVER”.

Reverse (Back) Design:

• Central spiral pattern surrounded by intricate African-inspired geometric motifs.
• The word “UBUNTU” prominently displayed at the top.
• The phrase “I AM BECAUSE WE ARE” encircles the central design, reinforcing the Ubuntu philosophy of interconnectedness.
