Struck from 99.99% pure silver, the 2024 koala is available in the 1oz size.
Limited Mintage, Only 300,000 1oz coins released.
This coin is issued as an Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
Design
The coin portrays an adorable Koala climbing a gum tree looking out over its natural habitat. As well as the inscription ‘KOALA’, and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, the reverse includes the coin’s weight, purity and year-date.
The coin’s obverse portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
